The same methods, pretty much, were used to sell lots in Florida in the 60s. They were sold in magazines, half an acre at a time, and would not see roads or utilities for another 30 years. I know because my mother bought 2 such lots and when we retired to Florida, she traded them in for a deposit on a real house on a real road. It all worked out. I have no illusions about standing on my "estate" and fishing for salmon, but this is a cute gift and HOPEFULLY will go toward the reforestation of Scotland.Trish Wilsonhttp://www.danceswithwools.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692520545176324012.post-48376636503569964522009-11-09T01:47:48.706+00:002009-11-09T01:47:48.706+00:00i have one and if it helps with the planting of tr...i have one and if it helps with the planting of trees and with the wildlife of scotland then let it be i live scotland and i dont have to change my title to lady lochaber. just the though warms my heart.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692520545176324012.post-79693769681301264452009-09-20T13:49:46.240+01:002009-09-20T13:49:46.240+01:00Indeed, and it does all seem legal, the documents ...Indeed, and it does all seem legal, the documents are provided and the police would have shut them down if its wasnt legal. Dosnt sound like a con to me. may not be everyones cup of tea, but that doesnt make it illegal!MrWakesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692520545176324012.post-5599257902428865182009-03-12T10:55:00.000+00:002009-03-12T10:55:00.000+00:00Some strong comments there but is what is being do...Some strong comments there but is what is being done legal? Do you actually own one sq. ft. of an estate in Scotland (Note: not a one sq, ft. Estate.). If the answer is 'Yes' then there is no con. It seems to me that if the word 'Laird' means a landholder in Scotland then the amount of land is immaterial. It may all be a bit of a laugh and not to be taken to seriously but if it's legal then it's not a con.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692520545176324012.post-30271486622723179312009-02-24T06:26:00.000+00:002009-02-24T06:26:00.000+00:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692520545176324012.post-25111876866111520472008-12-07T13:48:00.000+00:002008-12-07T13:48:00.000+00:00too freakin right! all these lochaber fakes are ju...too freakin right! all these lochaber fakes are just pathetic. i was just 'googleing' my last name (laird) just because its 1am over here and theres not much for an insomniac to do in my house, and i was shocked to find out that you can now buy the title held throughout my ancestry.. and worse than that but for chump change, is that really all its worth nowadays. These people have turned a once honourable title into some pathetic gimmick to have a laugh at, my ancesters would be turning in their grave!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692520545176324012.post-40913707785637205082008-09-29T17:28:00.000+01:002008-09-29T17:28:00.000+01:00brillant, fantastic, so true and the best ive hear...brillant, fantastic, so true and the best ive heard about this con...this piece of masterpiece was worth my £30 I paid also....wish we could get this on that silly forum....well done..3rayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15166656683716204872noreply@blogger.com
